Job summary

A-MAX Insurance is seeking an Insurance Sales Agent to work in-office in Austin. The role involves assisting customers with new policies, editing existing policies, taking payments, and renewing policies while building a client base through networking and marketing.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred but not required.
• Hold a valid Limited Lines or Property & Casualty License in Texas (highly preferred, but not required).
• Must have reliable transportation for daily marketing.
• Basic computer knowledge and strong written, verbal, and people skills.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision and quickly learn company software.
• Complete continuing education courses paid for by A-MAX to maintain active license status.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with various insurance needs such as new policies, editing existing policies, taking payments, renewing and reinstating policies.
• Inspect vehicles to decide if it is an acceptable insurance risk.
• Seek out new clients and develop clientele through networking and marketing; develop marketing strategies with the office manager.
• Perform administrative tasks, renewals, and coordinate with underwriting to complete policies.
• Assist with daily housekeeping routines.
