Job summary

Alfa Insurance - Eric Carver Agency in Cullman, AL is seeking a motivated sales and service representative to write and service existing customers while helping to grow the book of business.

You will assist the agent, handle inquiries, quote and bind policies, and work closely with staff to deliver outstanding service.

A high school diploma is required, with an active Insurance Producer License or the ability to obtain one within 90 days; proficiency in Microsoft Office is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Currently hold an Insurance Producer License.
• Ability to obtain Insurance Producer license within 90 days of hire.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs and able to learn new programs.
• Team player with a positive, professional attitude.

Responsibilities

• Prospecting new business in multi-line insurance, quoting and binding policies, handling customer inquiries, documenting requests and completing changes, accept and process premiums.
• Provide strong customer service with effective communication across multiple platforms and resolve conflicts.
• Support the agent and service center staff as needed.
• Make decisions to determine applicant insurability and placement using binding and processing applications.
• Ensure effective operation of the service center including reports, documentation, and mail distribution.
