Job Description:

A day in the life of an Insurance Sales Agent

The Auto Club Group is seeking prospective Insurance Sales Agents to generate new sales, retain existing members, and grow ACG’s overall book of business through our multiple product offerings. You will be challenged to drive new business with competitive products and help retain The Auto Club Group's 14+ million members.

Responsibilities include:
  1. Using sales techniques and product knowledge to identify customer needs, generate new sales, retain insureds, and grow our insurance book of business.
  2. Overcoming objections to close sales and retain clients.
  3. Meeting or exceeding sales targets as defined in the incentive plan and by your manager.
  4. Conducting insurance reviews to identify suitable products for clients.
  5. Using provided tools and underwriting guidelines to assess risk, recommend products, quote, bind, and issue policies.
  6. Engaging in market interactions at various locations to solicit new business, expand networks, and build rapport.
  7. Responding to customer inquiries related to insurance, membership, and financial products.

Compensation and Benefits:

Guaranteed hourly rate of $21.63 (annualized $45,000) plus commissions and bonuses. Overtime eligible. Average first-year earnings exceed $57,000; second-year earnings over $80,000.

Candidate requirements:
  • Active Property & Casualty license or ability to obtain before start.
  • Active Life license or ability to obtain within 90 days.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 1 year of sales or customer service experience.
  • Strong sales, communication, and customer focus skills.
  • Proficiency with desktop systems including Microsoft Office.
Work Environment:

In-office position based at an ACG branch, servicing members in person.
