Southern Land Company, a Nashville-based real estate development and construction firm, seeks an Insurance and Risk Manager to join our in-house team at the Green Hills corporate office. The role oversees an extensive insurance portfolio and aims to minimize risk across all business units.

Salary ranges from $120,000 to $135,000, depending on experience. Responsibilities include managing renewals, coordinating applications, handling claims, and ensuring contracts transfer risk appropriately.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance or Risk Management required.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in insurance administration, property/casualty insurance, or related roles.

Responsibilities

• Manage the company’s portfolio of insurance policies and ensure assets are protected.
• Lead policy renewals and coordinate applications for lines of coverage.
• Oversee claims handling and track progress to resolution.
• Negotiate contracts to transfer risk in line with executive guidelines.
• Identify risk trends and advise leadership on loss prevention.
