Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5+ years in corporate risk management, insurance administration, or related field.
• Strong knowledge of property & casualty insurance programs and claims management.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (intermediate to advanced).
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead procurement, negotiation, and administration of property and casualty, captive, and management liability insurance programs.
• Monitor market trends and optimize coverage, manage costs, and mitigate risk.
• Manage property and casualty claims with internal teams, carriers, and TPAs.
• Review leases and contracts to evaluate insurance requirements and risk transfer.
• Maintain OSHA recordkeeping and support risk-management compliance.
• Build relationships with internal teams, brokers, underwriters, and leadership.
• Provide updates on insurance market conditions, claims trends, risks, and program performance to executives.
• Continuously improve risk management practices to support long-term objectives.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of experience in corporate risk management, insurance administration, or a related field.

Key Responsibilities

Insurance Program Management

• Lead the procurement, negotiation, and administration of Healthcare Realty’s property and casualty, captive, and management liability insurance programs.
• Monitor market trends and recommend strategies to optimize coverage, manage costs, and mitigate organizational risk.

Claims Oversight

• Manage and oversee property and casualty claims, working closely with internal stakeholders, insurance carriers, and third-party administrators.
• Ensure claims are handled efficiently and effectively while minimizing financial and operational impact.

Contract and Lease Review

• Review leases, vendor agreements, and other contracts to evaluate insurance requirements, indemnification provisions, and risk transfer mechanisms.
• Interpret certificate of insurance requirements and ensure compliance with company standards.

Regulatory Compliance

• Maintain OSHA recordkeeping and reporting requirements.
• Support compliance initiatives related to risk management and workplace safety.

Relationship Management

• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams, including Asset Management, Legal, and executive leadership, as well as brokers, underwriters, carriers, and third-party administrators.
• Serve as a trusted advisor on insurance-related matters across the organization.

Strategic Communication

• Provide regular updates and insights to executive leadership regarding insurance market conditions, claims trends, risk exposures, and program performance.
• Develop clear, data-driven recommendations to support business decision-making.

Risk Management Leadership

• Manage competing priorities and respond effectively to emerging risks and unexpected events.
• Continuously evaluate and enhance risk management practices to support Healthcare Realty’s long-term business objectives.
