Handle litigation matters involving insurance coverage under general liability, professional liability, and D&O policies
Draft and review pleadings, motions, and legal memoranda
Conduct discovery, including depositions, document requests, and responses
Participate in motion practice, hearings, and other court proceedings
Manage and strategize independently on active cases while collaborating with team members
Interface with clients and support relationship development efforts
Engage in high-level analysis of policy interpretation and reinsurance issues
Contribute to internal knowledge sharing and team development initiatives
4 to 7 years of experience in insurance litigation and/or reinsurance disputes
Deep understanding of liability insurance coverage frameworks
Demonstrated litigation experience across all phases of case management
Familiarity with legal proceedings in both state and federal courts
Ability to operate independently on casework with minimal oversight
Commitment to maintaining high professional standards and ethics
Prior exposure to business development or client-facing legal tasks is a plus
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school
Active membership and good standing with the California State Bar (or eligibility to waive in)
Exceptional legal research and persuasive writing capabilities
Strong verbal communication and advocacy skills
Analytical mindset with strategic problem-solving abilities
