Job summary

The Processing Specialist at SSIU serves as the welcoming face of our Managing General Agency, delivering superior customer service to our retail agent partners and clients. This role handles routine to moderately complex clerical, administrative, and operational support with a focus on accuracy, responsiveness, and teamwork.

You will use management systems to record information, process endorsements and cancellations, and assist with surplus lines filings and compliance tasks, while maintaining

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; college coursework or degree preferred.
• 1–2 years customer service experience; insurance experience preferred.
• Proficient with Windows, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Calm, professional, and solution-oriented in fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

• Serve as main point of contact for retail agent partners and clients via phone and digital channels.
• Review and process applications with accuracy.
• Use management systems to record information and communicate with clients.
• Process endorsements and cancellations per training and guidelines.
• Support operational tasks including reports, inspections, policy audits, and surplus lines documentation.
• Assist with surplus lines tax filings and regulatory coordination.
• Maintain organized, detailed records for compliance and efficiency.
• Support team with additional tasks as needed.
