Job summary

Valmark is seeking an Insurance Planning Intern to support life insurance case design and education for Advisors and clients in Akron, Ohio. You will help build custom plans, gather quotes, and prepare analyses using our life-insurance planning modules.

This internship offers exposure to insurance products, market research, and collaboration with internal teams and external carriers. Onsite hours are 16-24 per week in spring/fall and 30-40 per week in summer, with a $20 per hour pay.

Qualifications

• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Currently enrolled pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
• Availability to work onsite in Akron, OH: 16-24 hours per week during spring and fall semester; 30-40 hours per week during summer months.

Responsibilities

• Attend planning meetings to discuss team development and goals.
• Create marketing material for advisors and their clients to educate them about our processes and deliverables.
• Learn how to use our software to prepare quotes for the advisors.
• Compose reports, work on projects, and complete data analysis of our team's functions.
• Build life insurance quotes for advisors and their client presentations.
• Reach out to Insurance companies on product information and changes.

Job Summary:

The Insurance Planning Intern will assist the team in supporting our Valmark clients with life insurance case design, research, and education. This intern will help build custom plans by using our life‑insurance focused planning modules, gathering insurance quotes, and preparing custom analysis for Advisors to present to clients. The position will also include market research and working with Insurance Company contacts to stay current and well‑informed on changes in our industry.
