Job summary

The Burke Moore Group in Atlanta is seeking a Paralegal to support the Insurance Practice with non-party discovery, medical records, document productions, and form pleadings. Prior experience of 2-3 years in a law firm is valued and a paralegal certificate or associate degree is required.

Responsibilities include preparing case summaries, legal research, drafting documents, filing court submissions, and maintaining case documentation.

Qualifications

• Certificate or associate degree in paralegal studies required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of two years of experience in a paralegal or legal support role.
• Strong knowledge of legal procedures, documentation, and terminology.
• Demonstrated investigative aptitude with advanced research and analytical skills.
• Proven experience preparing legal reports and supporting case development.
• Excellent written and verbal legal and business communication skills.
• Advanced computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), with the ability to quickly learn new software and legal database systems.
• Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with clients, attorneys, and legal staff.
• Highly organized, with strong time management skills and the ability to prioritize and multitask.
• Self motivated and able to work independently while meeting deadlines.
• Strong work ethic with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Prepare concise case summaries and detailed reports for attorney review.
• Perform legal research, analyze facts, and assist in developing legal strategies and arguments.
• Draft and revise legal documents, including contracts, pleadings, and deposition materials.
• Prepare, file, and manage court submissions in accordance with procedural requirements.
• Organize, maintain, and archive documentation for active and closed cases.
• Monitor changes in laws and regulations and provide timely updates to legal teams.
