Job summary

Swiss Re is seeking a Technical Accounting Analyst (Insurance OPS) in a hybrid role in Fort Wayne. You will review premium and policy data, perform quality checks, and manage cash allocations. The role involves collaboration with clients and internal teams to deliver accurate reporting and timely close processes.

You will work with Power BI/Power Query and Excel, supporting regulatory and financial reporting. Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Up to 2 years of experience in re/insurance, financial services, accounting, operations, customer service, or a related field.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Mathematics, Economics, or a related field; or equivalent professional experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, and the ability to learn new systems and technologies.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Ability to work independently following initial training and onboarding.
• Basic understanding of insurance products and policy administration.
• LOMA and/or ARA designation(s), completed or in progress.
• Experience with Power Query, Power BI, or other reporting and data visualization tools.
• Familiarity with financial reporting concepts.
• Demonstrated ability to make sound decisions and exercise good business judgment.

Responsibilities

• Book client premiums and policy level data for regulatory & financial reporting purposes.
• Ensure quality of financial & policy data processed in Swiss Re's systems.
• Work within tight deadlines to meet cash close dates and KPI targets.
• Escalate and communicate material variances, analyze with clients to resolve issues.
• Create and maintain policy information and assure treaty compliance on records and reports.
• Maintain strong relationships with external clients.
