Job Description

Pro IS, Inc. is currently recruiting for an enthusiastic team player with operational skills and Property and Casualty reinsurance knowledge to join our expanding Technical Accounting team supporting our clients with a variety of functions. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to work on different projects which could include technical accounting and claims operations, supporting the monthly close processing. This employment position is full-time and will work daytime hours remotely in the USA. You must have experience in P&C reinsurance bordereaux and understanding policy/contract language. Main Responsibilities

• Accurately perform technical accounting and claims operational duties such as processing premiums and claims bordereaux and cash allocation activities.
• Analysis of policies where cash/technical discrepancies are identified to determine root causes and make recommendations for correction and ongoing process improvements.
• Incoming cash allocation and reconciliation according to policy terms and agreements and overall cash management activities, such as bank deposits, aged balances, YTD payments.
• Ensure the Operations monthly closing is completed timely and accurately, supporting the finance closing activities process.
• Work collaboratively with other functional areas (Member managers, Claims, Finance) and externals (MGA’s/TPA’s) to clarify and resolve queries, incorrect data, and missing information.
• Support ad-hoc projects as assigned.

Skills and Experience

• At least 3 years of experience in insurance/reinsurance operations required.
• Account receivables and good understanding of operational processes and ledger management.
• College degree in accounting, finance, or related field or equivalent insurance work experience required.
• Dynamics AX experience strongly preferred.
• Experience resolving complex accounts, and cash and technical reconciliations.
• Basic ability to read and understand reinsurance/insurance policies/contracts.
• Strong ability to multitask and work on different systems and accounts on a daily basis is necessary to manage multiple deadlines and changing priorities.
• Solid organizational and time management skills.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Be able to perform with an extremely high level of attention to detail.
• Ability to work successfully in a fast-paced environment and adapt to frequent changes.
• Strong communication skills. Ability to interact with internal and external clients/MGA’s/TPA’s in a professional manner.

Work Location and Hours

This is a work from home position. Candidates must have their own reliable and secure high-speed internet access (no hot spots/satellite dishes) to work from home. Computer equipment is provided. The hours for the position are Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5 pm Eastern; however candidates do not need to be in the Eastern time zone. Pro does not provide sponsorship for visas, so you must be authorized to work for any US employer. You must reside in the United States.
