Job summary

Great American Insurance Group seeks an Insurance Operations Associate for its Ocala, FL Equine Mortality Division. You will review submissions, organize policy docs, validate information, and support new business and renewals through automated and manual workflows.

This on-site role requires four days in the office with one remote day. Candidates should have a High School Diploma (Associate degree preferred) and be proficient in Outlook and Excel, with solid equine industry knowledge.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate degree preferred.
• Experience in office, administrative, insurance, or operations roles preferred with MS Office proficiency.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Excel.
• Strong knowledge of the equine industry—breeds, disciplines, and valuation considerations.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment; detail-oriented and accurate.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to automation/AI-enabled workflows.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage a shared inbox; triage correspondence from agents, customers, and internal partners.
• Process new business and renewal submissions via automated workflows and manual methods.
• Prepare and upload policy documents into designated systems and electronic filing platforms.
• Verify submission completeness, accuracy, and adherence to procedures.
• Research and gather documents to validate horse values and underwriting information.
• Use policy administration and document systems to maintain records; resolve data discrepancies.

This role serves as a critical part of our operations team and is responsible for supporting the processing and administration of equine insurance business. The Insurance Operations Associate reviews incoming submissions, organizes policy documentation, validates information, and helps facilitate the accurate processing of new business and renewals.Great American’s culture is built on connection, shared learning, and strong relationships.
