Role Overview:

This position involves marketing and selling livestock insurance products, focusing on large dairies or livestock operations. Responsibilities include generating new business, building client relationships, providing industry-specific advice, and collaborating across teams.

Typical Day:
Livestock Insurance Sales
  • Market insurance products and build relationships for new business and referrals.
  • Collaborate with internal specialists and consultants.
  • Maintain client relationships and deliver value-added services.
  • Manage prospect files and meet sales goals.
  • Use Salesforce and other tools to support sales activities.
  • Complete documentation and ensure coverage meets client needs.
  • Review coverage, monitor claims, and stay current on industry and product knowledge.
  • Engage in industry groups and maintain a professional presence.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, agriculture, or related field.
  • Sales experience, preferably in insurance or financial services, with livestock insurance preferred.
  • State insurance license to sell livestock insurance is a plus.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Understanding of livestock insurance, farm management, and finance.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and sales skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and related applications.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Valid driver's license required.
Benefits:

Role titles and pay depend on experience and market factors. The position is eligible for variable pay and benefits.

Pay Range:

$62,700 - $89,400 USD
