Aon plc is seeking a qualified analyst to perform analyses of balance sheet strength and operating performance for U.S. P&C insurers and reinsurers, presenting findings to committees and collaborating with brokers.

The role requires strong financial analysis, data mining, and P&C insurance knowledge, with preference for candidates in Chicago, Minneapolis, or Philadelphia. The position involves cross-functional work, strict review processes, and occasional travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Finance, Accounting, Mathematics or equivalent. MBA and/or CFA and/or CPA and/or related industry designations such as CPCU, a plus.
• 3+ years of experience in financial analysis at an insurance company, reinsurer, or consulting firm
• Understanding of P&C insurance accounting, GAAP and/or SAP
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel; strong proficiency with PowerPoint and Word
• Experience with P&C industry databases (AM Best and S&P) is a plus
• Ability to complete multiple tasks independently in a fast paced environment
• Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
• Preference for an analyst located in or near Chicago, Minneapolis or Philadelphia
• Limited travel may be required

Responsabilités

• Perform analyses to evaluate balance sheet strength and operating performance of U.S. property and casualty insurers and reinsurers.
• Present analyses to Market Security committees with other credit analysts and business unit reps.
• Use data mining to help determine insurers needing more stringent review.
• Work with Aon Brokers on market needs for new markets or expansion of existing markets.
• Lead in servicing clients, responding to inquiries on current and prospective P&C insurers.
• Contribute to reports on emerging trends in the insurance industry.
• Assist in maintaining data on Aon systems and web portals
