Job summary

Hilb Group is offering an internship program in Roseland, NJ for students to explore careers within an expanding insurance brokerage. You will rotate through Personal Lines and Commercial Lines, support the account management team, and work on data entry, renewals, and process improvements under experienced mentors.

Eligible students should be pursuing undergraduate or graduate studies, preferably in management, marketing, communications, risk/insurance, or related fields, with strong MS Office

Qualifications

• Must be able to commute to Roseland, NJ office.
• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program.
• Preferred majors include Business Management, Marketing, Communications, Risk Management & Insurance, Actuarial Science, or related fields.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Outlook.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Curious, motivated, and eager to learn about the insurance industry.

Responsibilities

• Rotate between Personal Lines and Commercial Lines departments to gain hands-on exposure to both lines of coverage.
• Support account management team with policy documentation, endorsements, renewals, and administrative tasks.
• Assist with data entry, reporting, and quality checks within the agency management system to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Participate in client appointments and sales meetings with producers to observe client service and sales best practices.
• Contribute to special projects aimed at improving internal processes, client experience, or operational efficiency.
• Build professional communication skills through interactions with internal stakeholders.
