Job summary

Wellington Management seeks a Business Development Manager - Sub-Advised Insurance to grow strategic insurance relationships and assets under management. You will lead executive-level conversations, develop account plans, and drive opportunities with internal partners.

Collaborating with Relationship Managers, you will navigate complex insurance structures, identify mandates, and expand product offerings to deliver sustainable growth.

Qualifications

• Deep understanding of the retail insurance landscape and sub-advisory structures.
• Proven ability to originate and advance opportunities within sophisticated institutional relationships.
• Ability to build credibility with senior executives and influence decision-makers.
• Strong commercial judgment and negotiation skills for complex outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Own growth objectives for defined insurance and sub-advisory relationships.
• Develop and execute strategic account plans for retention and expansion.
• Identify opportunities for new mandates, product expansion, and partnerships.
• Build executive-level relationships with senior client decision-makers.
• Lead commercial discussions, opportunity development, and negotiations.
• Coordinate with Relationship Managers to deliver a seamless client experience.
• Monitor industry trends and market opportunities.
• Contribute to long-term business planning and channel strategy.
