Job summary

Bosun is a well established minority owned insurance defense litigation firm seeking a highly organized paralegal to support attorneys in all phases of litigation from a remote New York division.

The role focuses on managing a high volume caseload, drafting filings, gathering medical records, and coordinating with clients and experts in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in legal studies and/or paralegal certificate is required
• Minimum 2 years of litigation paralegal experience, preferably in insurance defense

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and file legal documents including pleadings, discovery requests and responses, subpoenas, and motions
• Assist with preparation for depositions, hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials
• Gather, review, and summarize medical records, accident reports, and other case related documents
• Maintain and organize case files, discovery databases, and document productions
• Manage attorney calendars, schedule depositions, and coordinate with clients, witnesses, and experts
• Conduct legal and factual research as needed
• Monitor court deadlines and ensure compliance with filing requirements in New Jersey State and Federal courts
• Provide general administrative support to attorneys

The firm handles premises liability, motor vehicle accidents, professional liability, construction and workplace accidents, and New York Labor Law matters. Both roles below are open now and the firm is interviewing immediately.

Location

Remote (New York Division), handling New York State and Federal court filings.
