Job summary

RevCats in Tampa, Florida is hiring an Insurance Defense Paralegal for a full-time, direct-hire role supporting a high-volume construction-liability insurance-defense practice. Local candidates only; relocation is not available.

Compensation is $75,000-$80,000 annually with a comprehensive benefits package. The Tampa schedule starts four days onsite and one day remote, moving to three days onsite and two days remote after 90 days.

Qualifications

• Insurance-defense paralegal experience and construction-defense experience; bodily-injury/general-liability experience may be considered.
• Experience limited solely to first-party property is not sufficient.
• Strong legal document, litigation support, research, filing, organization and communication skills.
• No bachelor's degree required.
• Professional references must be verifiable.
• At least three years of insurance defense paralegal experience is required; four to five years is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Draft legal documents, pleadings, subpoenas, discovery requests/responses, and interrogatories for attorney review.
• Review and summarize case materials; research facts and law.
• Prepare depositions, trials, witnesses, exhibits and demonstrative evidence.
• Assist at trial and manage billable time per guidelines.
• Support claim demands/packets, fact investigation and claim pursuit.

Review and summarize case materials, research facts and law, prepare depositions and trials, help prepare witnesses, exhibits and demonstrative evidence, and assist at trial. Use Federal Court CM/ECF filings and Summation or Eclipse; capture billable time according to guidelines; support claim demands/packets, fact investigation and claim pursuit.

Required background
