Ascendion partners with a growing law firm in Charleston, SC seeking an Insurance Defense Paralegal with 2+ years of experience. The role requires discovery, medical summaries, updating adjusters, and subpoenas, plus strong research and proficiency with data room platforms (Intralinks, Firmex).

Responsibilities include 20 hours of weekly billables, handling 100+ cases as you ramp up, performing due diligence, lien and UCC searches, and preparing regulatory filings along with drafting NDAs,

Competenze

• 2+ years of paralegal experience in insurance defense or related area.
• Experience with discovery, medical summaries, subpoenas.
• Strong research skills and familiarity with legal databases.

Mansioni

• Weekly billables around 20 hours per week.

We are working with a growing Law Firm, looking to bring on a Insurance Defense Paralegal to join their team. Specifically, they are looking for someone with 2+ years of experience.

Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience
• Prior experience with discovery, medical summaries, updating adjusters, subpoenas
• Advanced proficiency in legal research tools, document management platforms, and data room management (e.g., Intralinks, Firmex).
• Exceptional organizational skills, high attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple complex transactions under tight deadlines.

Responsibilities:

• Weekly billables 20 hours a week
• Handle 100+ cases at a time, once you are ramped up
• Conduct comprehensive due diligence research, perform lien and UCC searches, and prepare federal, state, and local regulatory filings (including Secretary of State filings and annual reports).
• Draft, review, and organize basic contracts, non-disclosure agreements (NDAs), closing certificates, and officer certificates.

The annual salary for this position is between 80k-90k. Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
