Job summary

LHH is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join a busy Orlando insurance defense team. You will manage multiple case files, assist with discovery, pleadings, and trial preparation, and coordinate with attorneys, clients, and experts in a deadline-driven environment.

Ideal candidates have 2–5 years of paralegal experience, strong organizational skills, and proficiency with MS Office and case management software, enabling proactive, detail-oriented support throughout all litigation

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of paralegal experience in litigation.
• Understanding of the litigation process and insurance defense.
• Experience with discovery, depositions, hearings, and trial prep.
• Familiarity with state and/or federal filing procedures.
• Strong legal terminology and procedure knowledge.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Clear written and verbal communication abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and case management software.
• Comfort with electronic court filing systems.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple active matters.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive paralegal support to attorneys throughout insurance defense litigation.
• Manage and maintain assigned case files from inception to resolution.
• Assist with case preparation, discovery, pleadings, motions, and other matters.
• Review and summarize medical records, claim files, and discovery responses.
• Draft and prepare pleadings, discovery requests/responses, motions, and notices.
• Coordinate written discovery including interrogatories and requests for production.
• Track discovery deadlines, court dates, statutes, and deadlines.
• Assist with depositions, hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
• Prepare deposition materials, exhibits, and witness files.
• Organize exhibits and supporting documentation for depositions and trials.
• Coordinate deposition scheduling and logistics with involved parties.
• Arrange independent medical exams and other consultations.
• Communicate with clients, carriers, opposing counsel, courts, and experts.
• Review correspondence and ensure proper follow-up.
• Support legal research and factual investigations as directed.
• Prepare case summaries and litigation timelines for attorney review.
• Monitor activity and alert attorneys to upcoming deadlines.
• Electronically file pleadings with state and federal courts.
• Maintain accurate electronic and physical case files.
• Assist with trial prep, including exhibits and notebooks.
• Support settlement and mediation preparation with relevant docs.
• Maintain current, organized case activity records.
