Job summary

Jobot is seeking an Insurance Defense Litigation Attorney for a leading civil litigation firm in Central Texas with offices in Austin and San Antonio. You will handle a wide range of insurance defense matters, draft pleadings and motions, manage a caseload through trial, and pleadings in state and federal courts.

The role offers a base salary of $120,000 to $150,000 per year plus annual bonus, comprehensive benefits, and a hybrid in-office/remote schedule.

Qualifications

• JD from accredited law school.
• Admitted to Texas Bar and in good standing.
• 2+ years of litigation experience.
• Experience in insurance defense, general liability, product liability and coverage disputes preferred.

Responsibilities

• Defend clients in insurance matters including coverage disputes, bad faith, product and general liability.
• Draft pleadings, briefs, motions, and discovery; take and defend depositions.
• Manage caseload from intake through trial or resolution; advise senior partners on case strategy.
• Litigate in state and federal courts across Texas; negotiate settlements and prepare for mediation/arbitration.

Responsibilities

• Defend clients in a wide variety of insurance matters: coverage disputes, bad faith claims, product liability, general liability, etc.
• Draft pleadings, briefs, motions, and discovery; take and defend depositions.
• Manage your caseload from intake through trial or resolution. Strategize case directions in consultation with senior partners.
• Handle litigation in both state and federal courts across Texas.
• Negotiate settlements, work with experts, prepare for mediation or arbitration, and see cases through trial when needed.
