The ideal candidate has 3+ years of civil litigation or insurance defense experience, strong research and writing skills, and can manage a caseload independently while collaborating with a skilled legal team. Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active Florida Bar membership in good standing.
• 3+ years civil litigation or insurance defense experience.
• Experience in general liability, auto liability, premises and product liability preferred.
• Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage general liability and insurance defense matters from inception through resolution.
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, memoranda, and other legal documents.
• Take and defend depositions; attend hearings, mediations, arbitrations and case management conferences.
• Conduct legal research and analyze statutes, case law, and procedural rules.
• Maintain client communications with carriers, experts, and opposing counsel.
