Job summary

Jobot is seeking an Insurance Defense Associate Attorney with approximately 2+ years of civil litigation experience for its Rock Hill, SC office. Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active South Carolina Bar admission; NC admission a plus.
• Approximately 2+ years of insurance defense or civil litigation experience.
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Experience with discovery, motions, and depositions preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage an active caseload of insurance defense and general civil litigation matters from inception through resolution.
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and legal memoranda.
• Conduct and defend depositions, participate in mediations, and attend court hearings.
• Assist with trial preparation and litigation strategy.
• Evaluate liability, damages, and potential exposure.
• Communicate directly with insurance carriers, insured clients, and opposing counsel.
• Collaborate with partners and senior attorneys on complex litigation matters.
• Provide timely case assessments, status updates, and recommendations to clients.
