Job summary

Confidential Employer is seeking an attorney with 3+ years of insurance defense experience to join our Phoenix team on a hybrid schedule. The role emphasizes handling insurance defense matters from evaluation to resolution, with meaningful client exposure and responsibility.

You will develop strategy, draft pleadings, conduct depositions, participate in hearings and mediations, and work with partners and staff to advance your litigation career in a well-supported regional firm.

Qualifications

• Active Arizona Bar license in good standing.
• 3+ years of attorney experience.
• 1+ year of insurance defense litigation experience.
• Strong legal writing, research, case management, and litigation skills.
• Excellent communication, judgment, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid Phoenix environment.
• Deposition, mediation, hearing, and trial experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Handle insurance defense litigation matters from initial evaluation through resolution.
• Develop litigation strategy and evaluate liability, damages, and potential exposure.
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, briefs, and other litigation documents.
• Conduct and defend depositions and participate in hearings, mediations, and settlement negotiations.
• Communicate directly with clients regarding case strategy, developments, and recommended next steps.
• Manage discovery, deadlines, experts, and an active litigation caseload.
• Work collaboratively with partners, attorneys, and support professionals on complex defense matters.
• Assist with trial preparation and take on increasing courtroom responsibility based on experience.

Pay:$130,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
