Job summary

Ascendion is seeking an Insurance Defense Attorney to join our team remotely. The ideal candidate has 2+ years of experience, with background in medmal, products liability, or premises liability, and is admitted to practice in California. A California JD is required.

Responsibilities include managing a caseload from evaluation to resolution, researching and formulating defense strategies, drafting pleadings, motions and discovery requests, and handling depositions and witness preparation.

• 2+ years of insurance defense experience required.
• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
• Admitted to practice law in California.

We are working with a National Insurance Defense Firme, looking for an Insurance Defense Attorney to join their team. Specifically, they are looking for someone who has 2+ years experience. This role is remote.

Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience
• Previous experience in either; medmal, products liability, premises liability, etc.
• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
• Admitted to practice law in California

Responsibilities:

• Manage a caseload of insurance defense cases, from initial claim evaluation to final resolution.
• Conduct thorough legal and factual research, and develop effective defense strategies for clients.
• Draft various legal documents, such as pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and briefs to support defense strategies.
• Handle written discovery, take and defend depositions, and prepare witnesses for these proceedings

The annual salary for this position is between 175k-200k. Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
