Protouch Staffing represents a client in Chicago seeking a mid- to senior-level attorney for an insurance defense and civil litigation practice. The attorney will defend claims across construction, premises liability, statutory violations, auto accidents, contract disputes, and general litigation.

The role involves research, motions, depositions, hearings, trials, settlement negotiations, and ongoing client communication, with a collaborative team approach and in-person work in Chicago, IL.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in insurance defense litigation.
• Strong knowledge of procedural law and statutory research.
• Experience handling party, treating provider, and expert depositions.
• Trial preparation and courtroom experience.
• Strong legal research and writing skills; Westlaw proficiency.
• Excellent negotiation and client communication skills.
• Ability to manage cases, deadlines, and multiple priorities.
• Knowledge of legal billing software and case management.
• Proficiency with Word, Adobe, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Handle insurance defense matters across construction, premises liability, statutory violations, auto accidents, contract disputes, and general litigation.
• Conduct legal research, draft motions, and participate in depositions, hearings and trials.
