Job summary

Confidential Employer in Orlando, FL seeks a licensed attorney to lead insurance defense and civil litigation matters. You will manage cases from investigation to resolution, draft pleadings, and take/defend depositions while building strong client relationships.

Active Florida Bar membership and 2+ years' experience are required; 3+ years preferred. Hybrid arrangement possible based on experience and business needs.

Qualifications

• Active Florida Bar license and J.D. from an accredited law school.
• 2+ years of insurance defense litigation experience; 3+ years preferred.
• Experience with depositions, hearings, discovery, and motion practice.
• Ability to independently manage a litigation caseload.
• Strong legal writing, negotiation, and courtroom advocacy skills.
• Professionalism, reliability, and a client-focused mindset.

Responsibilities

• Manage insurance defense and civil litigation cases from initial investigation through resolution.
• Draft and argue motions, pleadings, and other litigation documents.
• Conduct and defend depositions, manage discovery, and develop effective case strategies.
• Represent clients at hearings, mediations, and settlement conferences.
• Prepare cases for trial and collaborate with colleagues on litigation strategy.
• Build trusted client relationships through clear communication and responsive service.
