Confidential Employer in Orlando, FL seeks an attorney to lead insurance defense and civil litigation matters. The role focuses on managing cases from start to resolution and appearing in court. Hybrid work arrangements may be available based on experience and business needs.

The ideal candidate holds an Active Florida Bar license and a J.D. from an accredited law school, with 2+ years of defense litigation experience and strong advocacy, writing, and negotiation skills.

Qualifications

• Active Florida Bar license and J.D. from an accredited law school.
• 2+ years of insurance defense litigation experience; 3+ years preferred.
• Experience with depositions, hearings, discovery, and motion practice.
• Ability to independently manage a litigation caseload.
• Strong legal writing, negotiation, and courtroom advocacy skills.
• Professionalism, reliability, and a client-focused mindset.

Responsibilities

• Manage insurance defense and civil litigation cases from initial investigation through resolution.
• Draft and argue motions, pleadings, and other litigation documents.
• Conduct and defend depositions, manage discovery, and develop effective case strategies.
• Represent clients at hearings, mediations, and settlement conferences.
• Prepare cases for trial and collaborate with colleagues on litigation strategy.
• Build trusted client relationships through clear communication and responsive service.
