Job summary

Aligned Talent Acquisition is seeking an Insurance Coverage & Recovery Associate Attorney in the United States. The role focuses on analyzing insurance coverage, disputes, and recovery strategies for matters across Am Law firms and regional practices.

The ideal candidate will handle complex coverage litigation, advise on policy interpretation, and contribute to strategy and client interactions. Strong practice in insurance defense or coverage work is valued.

Qualifications

• Analyzing commercial liability and excess/umbrella policies in coverage matters.
• Representing insurers or policyholders in coverage disputes.
• Drafting coverage opinions and reservation-of-rights letters.
• Handling declaratory judgments and complex coverage litigation.
• Advising on insurance recovery strategies and litigation approaches.

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in insurance coverage disputes and litigation.

I work primarily with Am Law 50, 100, and 200 firms, but I also frequently partner with small and midsize firms, respected regional firms, and sophisticated boutiques across multiple markets.

Experience That May Be a Fit

• Analyzing commercial general liability, umbrella, excess, and specialty insurance policies.

• Representing insurers or policyholders in coverage disputes.

• Drafting coverage opinions, reservation-of-rights letters, and substantive motions.

• Handling declaratory judgment actions, bad-faith claims, and complex coverage litigation.

• Advising on insurance recovery, policy interpretation, and litigation strategy.
