Confidential Employer in Seattle seeks an Insurance Coverage Litigation Associate Attorney to join our growing litigation team. You will represent policyholders in complex coverage disputes and help shape strategy alongside experienced litigators.

Candidates must have 2+ years in civil litigation, Washington Bar license, and strong research, writing, and communication skills. This policyholder-side role offers meaningful work, collaboration, and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of civil litigation experience, ideally including insurance coverage litigation.
• Experience representing policyholders in insurance coverage or insurance recovery matters.
• Active Washington State Bar license.
• Strong legal research, writing, analytical and communication skills.
• Experience drafting litigation documents and participating in discovery.
• Ability to manage competing priorities while working collaboratively with attorneys and clients.

Responsibilities

• Represent policyholders in insurance coverage disputes, insurance recovery matters, and coverage litigation.
• Review and interpret insurance policies to evaluate coverage, exclusions, and insurers' obligations.
• Research complex legal issues and develop effective strategies for resolving coverage disputes.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, demand letters, and other litigation documents.
• Manage discovery, review documents, and assist with depositions, hearings, and trial preparation.
• Collaborate with attorneys across practice areas to deliver practical, results-oriented solutions.
• Communicate with clients and contribute to negotiations and dispute resolution.

Location

Seattle, WA — Join our collaborative Seattle-based litigation team. This is an office-based opportunity, with details regarding scheduling and potential hybrid flexibility to be discussed during the hiring process.

Candidates must have at least 2 years of civil litigation experience, some direct experience representing policyholders in insurance coverage matters, and a Washington State Bar license. This is a policyholder-side position, not a traditional insurance defense role.
