Job summary

Towne Insurance is seeking a Client Service Specialist in Newport News, VA to support the sales team and clients with efficient renewal and new business processes. You will handle inquiries by phone, email, and in person, prepare proposals, and ensure timely application submissions.

Ideal candidates have a life/health license or plan to obtain one within six months, strong Microsoft Excel/CRM skills, and excellent communication. Growth opportunities and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

Life and health license required or willing to earn within six months.
Strong computer skills with Microsoft applications and CRM.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong attention to detail and interpersonal skills.
Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Prepare Excel spreadsheets and assemble administrative and compliance materials for new and renewing business.
Submit applications, client changes, and enrollment forms to carriers and follow up for completion.
Assist clients with claims, billing, and daily inquiries.
Order and prepare renewal information packets for employee benefit meetings.
Maintain accurate client benefit information in CRM and enhance workflows.
Assist brokers and other client service specialists as needed.
Answer and route inbound calls; respond to inquiries or involve the broker as needed.
Maintain knowledge of Microsoft software and industry tools (Outlook, CRM, Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint).
Create PowerPoint presentations for open enrollment and client meetings.
Other duties as assigned.
