Job summary

Towne Insurance is hiring a Client Service Specialist to support the sales team and clients with efficient processing of applications and renewals. This role handles inquiries via phone, email, and in-person interactions, ensuring accurate maintenance of client data and timely responses.

The position requires strong tech skills, communication abilities, and the dedication to deliver excellent service while supporting brokers on a range of benefits-focused tasks.

Qualifications

• Must have current life and health license or be willing to obtain within six months of hire.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Publisher and Access.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to develop relationships with clients, carriers, and team members.
• Strong multi-tasking and prioritization abilities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Excel spreadsheets and assemble administrative and compliance materials for new and renewing business.
• Submit applications, client changes, and enrollment forms to carriers and follow up for completion.
• Assist clients with claims, billing, and daily inquiries.
• Order and prepare renewal information packets for employee benefits meetings.
• Maintain accurate client benefit info in CRM and improve CRM workflows.
• Assist brokers and other client service specialists as needed.
• Answer and route inbound calls; respond to client inquiries or refer to broker or specialist.
• Maintain up-to-date Microsoft software knowledge and other industry-specific tools.
• Maintain courteous professional relationships with clients, carriers, and team members.
• Create PowerPoint presentations for open enrollment and client meetings.
• Other duties as assigned.
