Job summary

Ascot Group in New Jersey seeks a Business Systems Analyst to bridge business stakeholders and technology teams across insurance operations. You will analyze processes, validate requirements, and support agile product delivery in a cross-functional environment.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor's in business or tech, 3+ years in BA roles, and experience with Agile/Scrum, user stories, data reconciliation, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level degree in business or technical field is preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• 3+ years as a business analyst or business systems analyst in operations or systems delivery.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum software delivery environments.
• Proven ability to write user stories and define acceptance criteria.
• Knowledge of P&C insurance operations, underwriting, claims and policy servicing.

Responsibilities

• Partner with stakeholders to define requirements, analyze impacts, and improve claims and policy servicing processes.
• Create and validate requirement documents; ensure clarity and traceability.
• Elicit requirements using interviews, surveys, workshops and analysis.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies; refine backlogs and support sprint execution.
• Collaborate with product owners, developers, testers, and users to define stories and acceptance criteria.
• Support change management and create training materials for new products and systems.
• Investigate data discrepancies and perform root-cause analysis with cross-functional teams.
