CVAK MSO, LLC is hiring an Authorization/Referral Specialist to join our Cardiology Group. You will verify coverage, initiate authorizations, and maintain precise records to support timely patient care.

The role requires strong communication, attention to detail, and knowledge of billing and payer processes. You will collaborate with physicians and staff to ensure accurate documentation and compliance across cases.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in medical billing, insurance authorization, or related field.
• Strong understanding of medical terminology, insurance plans, and authorization processes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with patients, insurers, and providers.
• Proficient in data entry, record-keeping and using computer systems.
• Knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS is a plus and familiarity with EHR.

Responsibilities

• Verify Insurance Coverage: Review patient insurance details and benefits.
• Obtain Authorizations/Referral: Submit documentation and follow up for approvals.
• Documentation and Records: Maintain accurate records of requests and communications.
• Collaborate with Providers: Coordinate with physicians and staff for necessary documentation.
• Adhere to Compliance Policies: Ensure all authorizations comply with laws and policies.
• Insurance Appeals: Assist in appeals with required documentation.
• Communication and Customer Service: Respond to inquiries and resolve discrepancies.
