Job summary

Optim is seeking an RCM Associate - Insurance AR Specialist to manage insurance accounts receivable and resolve payer denials. You will support timely reimbursement, identify denial trends, and document follow-up actions with accuracy in the practice management system.

Responsibilities include coordinating with Coding, Precertification, and Denial Management teams, submitting corrective claims, and monitoring payer responses to ensure compliant and efficient AR operations within a healthcare

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in medical insurance billing or revenue cycle operations preferred.
• CPAR certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Manage assigned insurance AR and resolve underpaid or denied claims.
• Submit corrected claims, appeals, and supporting documentation.
• Track responses and outcomes in PM/EMR systems such as Athena.
• Collaborate with payers and internal teams to prevent denials and improve reimbursement.
• Maintain audit-ready documentation and comply with HIPAA and payer guidelines.
