Unger Eye Wellness is seeking a detail-oriented Medical Billing Specialist to join our team at both Troy and Edwardsville, IL locations. This role focuses on managing the revenue cycle, posting payments, and resolving denials to ensure timely reimbursement.

The ideal candidate will have experience in medical billing, AR, and insurance, with a willingness to train the right candidate. Employment is full-time, with part-time possible, and benefits include health/vision insurance and a 401(k) plan.

Qualifications

• Experience in medical billing, AR, or healthcare office preferred.
• Knowledge of medical insurance, claims processing, and payment posting.
• Experience using EMR systems.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Professional communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities independently and in a team.
• Optometry or ophthalmology experience is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Manage claims throughout the revenue cycle from submission to payment.
• Post insurance and patient payments accurately.

Unger Eye Wellness is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Medical Billing Specialist to join our growing team at both our Troy and Edwardsville, IL locations.

The ideal candidate has experience in medical billing, accounts receivable, and insurance, with a strong understanding of the healthcare revenue cycle. This role is essential to maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring timely reimbursement, and providing outstanding service to both our patients and insurance partners.

However, we are willing to train the right candidate who demonstrates strong organizational skills, attention to detail, professionalism, and a desire to learn.
