Job summary

Horace Mann is seeking Exclusive Agents to build a thriving independent agency with a defined territory and the ability to serve educators with tailored insurance and financial solutions.

As an agent, you’ll operate on a 1099 basis with performance-based compensation and incentives, supported by cutting-edge technology, a dedicated service representative, and a comprehensive product portfolio to grow your network.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience in the insurance and financial services industry (preferred).
• Resident State General Lines Insurance Licenses: Life and Health License, Property and Casualty License.
• Ability to obtain FINRA Series 6 & 63 licenses (if applicable in your region).

Responsibilities

• Identify and implement solutions to help educators obtain affordable insurance and financial security.
• Build market access and strong relationships with educators and districts.
• Present products confidently to groups and individuals.
• Engage in networking, community and industry events.
• Invest time and resources to ensure long-term business success.

What We’re Looking For:

• Strong interpersonal and business management skills to build and manage your agency
• 2-5 years of experience in the insurance and financial services industry (preferred)
