Job summary

Hyundai Capital America (HCA) is seeking an Insurance Accounting Manager in Irvine, CA to lead accounting for insurance product portfolios including vehicle service contracts and warranties. The role drives accurate financial reporting, close processes, and internal controls across multiple programs.

You will partner with internal teams and external administrators, supervise reconciliations, and support product launches while adhering to GAAP and KSOX controls.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5-7 years of progressive accounting experience in financial services.
• Experience applying U.S. GAAP to nonroutine transactions.
• Experience with Oracle ERP and BI tools preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate month-end close with cross-functional partners and prepare journals, schedules, and reconciliations.
• Manage financial reporting and variance analysis for insurance entities, coordinating with auditors for annual statements.
• Review cash transfers and dealer settlements, and resolve complex accounting issues.
• Serve as primary contact for OEM inquiries and lead GL reconciliations and issue resolution.
• Support product launches and controls improvements, including KSOX compliance guidance.
