The Staff Accountant II role supports the Accounting Team by preparing journal entries, performing reconciliations, and delivering timely financial reporting to regulators and internal management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Two or more years of accounting, internal audit, or financial statement audit experience.
• Public accounting, large corporate accounting/internal audit, property and casualty insurance, or MGA experience, preferred.
• CPA, CIA, CISA, CPCU, ARM, AIAF, progress toward a relevant designation, or technology-enabled audit or controls testing experience, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and finalize journal entries and analyze key program partners' financial results.
• Coordinate general accounting tasks and ensure timely deadlines.
• Optimize efficiencies in workflows and reporting for Specialty Clients business.
• Prepare/Analyze commission and contingent commission results and share with Sales.
• Review accruals for contingent commissions to close financial reporting timely.
• Review contingent and incentive payments ensuring data aligns with contracts.
• Monitor complex reconciliations and perform analyses as needed.
