Job summary

Relation Insurance Services in Sacramento, CA is seeking an Account Manager to serve as the primary client contact, ensuring satisfaction and driving new opportunities. You will manage multiple accounts, build relationships, and lead projects and client deliverables with a focus on Accident and Health lines.

You will collaborate with carriers and vendors, handle RFPs, analyze data, and prepare market analyses and executive summaries for clients.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ account management experience in the insurance industry focused on Accident and Health.
• Strong knowledge of insurance markets, products, ratings and underwriting procedures.
• Proficient with Excel and PowerPoint and online rating systems.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Acts as the primary contact and advocate for assigned client accounts.
• Builds professional relationships and understands each client’s core business.
• Leads projects, deadlines, meetings, and client deliverables.
• Manages client expectations and service commitments.
• Handles engagement letters, scope of services, and data requirements.
• Establishes carrier/vendor relationships for administration of plans.
• Resolves issues and delegates tasks to the support team as needed.
• Manages RFP process including data collection and executive summaries.
• Prepares market analyses for new clients and prospects.
• Reviews contracts and plan documents to ensure alignment with client needs.
• Reviews claim data and generates customized client reports.
• Supports growth by generating new sales with existing clients.
• Adopts AI solutions to enhance service delivery.
