Apache Industrial Services is seeking an Insulator Helper 1 to support on-site insulation and related trades. You will load/unload equipment, perform site cleanup and mobilization, and assist Foreman and Craftsmen across insulation, paints/coatings, fireproofing, refractory and scaffolding.
The role requires following directions, occasional heavy lifting, and maintaining a clean, safe work area while coordinating with the Field Foreman on job-site issues.

Insulator Helper 1 shall perform or assist in all general site work such as loading and unloading equipment and materials, site clean-up and preparation, mobilization and demobilization to and from the jobsite, and general jobsite tasks. May assist Foreman and/or Craftsmen in multiple business lines (Insulation, Paint/Coatings, Fireproofing, Refractory and Scaffolding).
Follow verbal directions as required to perform duties and responsibilities as listed below. Heavy lifting will often be required to perform tasks. Must be able to kneel, squat, and climb. Must be able to perform required duties for extended periods of time. Clean up of work area, supplies, materials, and equipment. Communicate regularly with the Field Foreman with regard to issues and concerns on the job site. Comply with all Apache and client safety policies and programs. Maintain a reliable attendance records Always maintains a clean and safe work environment Work unsupervised in an efficient and effective manner. Able to wear all required PPE Other duties as assigned
Minimum 0-1 year of experience
Moves materials and equipment to work locations and sets up work site. Cover, seal, or finish insulated surfaces or access holes with plastic covers, canvas strips, sealants, tape, cement or asphalt mastic. Fit insulation around obstructions, and shape insulating materials and protective coverings as required. Install sheet metal around insulated pipes with screws in order to protect the insulation from weather conditions or physical damage Measure and cut insulation for covering surfaces, using tape measures, handsaws, knives, and scissors. Prepare surfaces for insulation application by brushing or spreading on adhesives, cement, or asphalt, or by attaching metal pins to surfaces. Covers or seals insulation with preformed plastic covers, canvas strips, sealant, or tape to secure insulation to structure, according to type of insulation used and structure covered, using staple gun, trowel, paintbrush, or caulking gun. Follows all hazardous waste handling guidelines. May remove or seal off old asbestos insulation, following safety procedures. Must maintain a positive attitude with crew members. Ensuring good housekeeping is being performed throughout the entire project - inside & outside.
Remaining in a stationary position, often standing, or sitting for prolonged periods. Light work that includes moving objects up to 20 pounds. No adverse environmental conditions expected. Must be able to work in high noise volumes, toxic or caustic chemicals, fumes, airborne particles, dusty conditions, hazardous machinery, precarious places, proximity to other employees.
