Job summary

Chemelex is seeking an Insulation Journeyman to install and remove insulation and jacketing on piping and equipment in the petrochemical industry. You must be able to lift 50 lb boxes and work from elevated heights using mobile lifting equipment.

Travel to job sites nationwide is required, with 90% travel. Employment includes mandatory testing (physical, background, drug) and an insulation journeyman written and practical test; a TWIC card is required, and candidates must provide their own tools

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
• NCCER certifications preferred but not required.
• Minimum 4 years of experience; preferably in manufacturing or industrial facilities.
• Motivated self-starter capable of working independently and efficiently.
• Ability to write legible, routine correspondence and to speak effectively with management and Chemelex employees.
• Knowledge of industrial electricity issues.
• Works well within teams.
• 90% travel to job sites around the country.
