Job summary

A leading provider of electric thermal solutions is seeking an Insulation Journeyman in Baton Rouge, LA. The role involves installing and removing insulation on piping and equipment, requiring 4 years of related experience. Applicants must be self-motivated, able to lift 50lb, and capable of working at heights. This position entails significant travel (90%) across the country. TWIC card and tools of the trade are required.

Working in the petrochemical industry installing/removing various types of insulation and jacketing on piping and equipment.

Must be able to lift a minimum of 50lb boxes.

Applicant will be required to work from elevated heights, including mobile lifting equipment (MANLIFTS)

Requirements include but are not limited to:

• Minimum of a High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
• NCCER Certifications preferred but not required.
• Minimum 4 years experience; preferably in manufacturing or industrial facilities.
• Motivated self-starter capable of working independently and efficiently.
• Ability to write legible, routine correspondence and to speak effectively as well as coherently with management and other Chemelex employees.
• Knowledge of industrial electricity issues
• Works well within teams.
• 90% travel to job sites around the country.
• Employment will be contingent upon passing Physical, Background and Drug tests along with an insulation journeyman written and practical test.
• This position will require a TWIC card (Transportation Worker Identification Card).
• Insulation Journeyman must provide their own tools of the trade.
