Job summary

Builders Installed Products Albany is seeking a full-time insulation installer to focus on fiberglass or rock wool batts for exterior walls and ceilings. The role offers steady work with room to move up and earnings potential above $25/hr with strong production.

The job includes loading materials, erecting scaffolding, cutting and installing insulation, potential driving duties, and strict safety practices. Prior installation experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required or preferred.
• Installation experience is a plus.
• Comfortable using standard hand tools.
• Able to work in tight spaces including attics and crawlspaces.
• Able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
• Able to climb ladders and scaffolding.
• Able to bend, twist, and turn the body.
• Able to stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Loading and logging materials onto a truck.
• Erect scaffolding or ladders to the required height.
• Cut insulation materials to size and install them in frames, ceilings, attics, or crawlspaces.
• Install insulation by stapling, gluing, wiring, nailing, or using equipment for loose-fill or foamed insulation.
• May drive a company vehicle and must follow DOT rules and maintain tools/truck.
• Observe job site safety rules and know MSDS locations in the vehicle.
