Job summary

Installed Building Products Portland is looking for an insulation installer to join a small, safety‑minded crew. You'll load materials, set up ladders, and install insulation in walls, ceilings, attics, and crawlspaces.

Expect to work early, with a foreman overseeing operations. You’ll follow safety guidelines, use hand tools, and lift up to 50 pounds during daily tasks. A valid driver’s license is required for transportation between sites.

Pay Range: $17.00-$22.00 an hour, depending on experience.

What Your Day Looks Like

You’ll start early, either meeting at the shop or heading directly to the jobsite.

After loading materials and completing a quick safety check, the crew gets to work. You’ll install insulation in walls, ceilings, attics, and crawlspaces.

You’ll be working in a variety of conditions, depending on the job site and season, with safety procedures and proper equipment in place. You’ll work until the job is done and then head home.

Who You’ll Work With

You’ll be part of a small crew led by an experienced foreman. Team members look out for one another, work safely, and take pride in doing the job right.

If you show up on time, follow safety guidelines, and are willing to learn, you’ll feel supported and welcomed.

The Physical Side (So You Know What to Expect)

Includes lifting and carrying heavy materials (up to 50 lbs), bending, squatting, and climbing ladders. The role requires working in confined spaces, crawling, and reaching overhead. Manual dexterity is needed for using hand and power tools. An insulation installer must also be able to work in various environmental conditions, including extreme temperatures, while adhering to safety standards.
