Job summary

Expert Insulation of Minnesota LLC, a proud IBP family member, is hiring an insulation installer in Minnesota. You will load materials, cut and install insulation in walls, ceilings, attics, and crawlspaces, and work with a small crew on varied job sites.

You’ll enjoy full-time, steady work with room to move up. Pay ranges from $25.00 to $40.00 per hour based on experience, and benefits include medical, dental, vision insurance, life insurance, 401(k) with company match, and training

Qualifications

• Ability to use hand tools safely and effectively.
• Experience with construction or insulation installation is a plus (training provided).
• Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and working in tight spaces.
• Driver’s license may be required for some tasks.

What Your Day Looks Like

You’ll start early, either meeting at the shop or heading directly to the jobsite. After loading materials and completing a quick safety check, the crew gets to work. You’ll install insulation in walls, ceilings, attics, and crawlspaces. You’ll be working in a variety of conditions, depending on the job site and season, with safety procedures and proper equipment in place. You’ll work until the job is done and then head home.

Who You’ll Work With

You’ll be part of a small crew. Team members look out for one another, work safely, and take pride in doing the job right. If you show up on time, follow safety guidelines, and are willing to learn, you’ll feel supported and welcomed.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Load and track materials on trucks
• Set up ladders or scaffolding
• Cut and install insulation to fit walls, ceilings, attics, and crawlspaces
• Staple, glue, nail, wire, or run equipment for loose-fill or foam insulation
• Drive a company vehicle when needed and keep it clean
• Follow all job site safety procedures

What We’re Looking For

• Reliable transportation
• Construction or installation experience is a plus (we will train the right person)
• Comfortable using hand tools
• Able to work in tight spaces and at heights
• Able to lift 50 lbs
• Able to bend, climb, kneel, and stand for long periods
• Bilingual is a plus, not required
• Driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle report required if job duties include operating a company vehicle
• Some assignments require a valid driver’s license
• A valid driver’s license is required for tasks involving the transportation of equipment or travel between sites

The Physical Side (So You Know What To Expect)

Includes lifting and carrying heavy materials (up to 50 lbs), bending, squatting, and climbing ladders. The role requires working in confined spaces, crawling, and reaching overhead. Manual dexterity is needed for using hand and power tools. An insulation installer must also be able to work in various environmental conditions, including extreme temperatures, while adhering to safety standards.
