Job summary

Applied Control in Houston is recruiting an Instrumentation & Valve Asset Specialist to work with Strategic Customers and their Automation, Maintenance & Reliability teams. You will leverage Emerson Smart Valve & Measurement tech to boost efficiency, reliability and cost savings.

The 2x2 rotation offers a schedule with two weeks off each month, and you will commute to customer sites regularly to support maintenance and reliability initiatives.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or diploma in instrumentation is required.
• 3+ years industry experience in an operating process facility is an asset.
• Experience with Emerson devices and AMS Device Manager/Valvelink preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, and support maintenance and reliability work processes using Emerson technologies.
• Provide expert use of AMS Device Manager Suite, including diagnostics and predictive alerts.
• Offer reliability support for Emerson/Applied Control products at engineering and maintenance levels.
• Deliver and quantify customer value and provide practical training on Emerson technologies.
• Create and maintain instrument data, maintenance logs, datasheets, and SIS validation records.
• Inventory optimization and instrument/valve turnaround scoping and execution.
