Modine Manufacturing Company is seeking a Laboratory Technician (Instrumentation & Thermal Systems) to support testing, calibration, and operation of chillers and refrigeration systems in a safety-conscious laboratory environment.

The role involves configuring instrumentation, working with sensors and measurement tools, and using DAQ to collect data, while collaborating with engineers on development projects and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical/associate degree preferred.
• Lab/test engineering or technical maintenance experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with refrigeration, HVAC, or thermal testing labs is desirable.
• Strong understanding of instrumentation, sensors, thermocouples, flow meters, and related tech.
• Knowledge of DAQ systems and data recording techniques.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and maintain laboratory instrumentation and testing equipment.
• Work with sensors, thermocouples, flow meters, and other measurement tools.
• Operate and monitor chiller and refrigeration systems, including vapor-compression equipment.
• Perform calibration procedures to ensure accuracy and compliance with specs.
• Use DAQ to collect, record, and interpret test data.
• Assist in troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, and thermal issues.
• Safely use electrical tools and handle PPE; follow SOPs and protocols.
• Collaborate with engineers and technicians on projects; maintain organized lab.
