Job summary

Modine Manufacturing Company is seeking an End of Line Test Technician for the Rockbridge, VA area. The role focuses on final product testing of cooling systems and chillers, using test equipment and diagnostics to verify performance and quality before shipment.

The candidate will perform pressure, electrical, and mechanical testing, calibrate equipment, and work with engineering and quality teams to address issues.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Refrigeration/HVAC technical certification is a plus.
• 1+ year of maintenance experience in manufacturing.
• Electrical and mechanical knowledge related to refrigeration and air conditioning equipment preferred.
• Computer skills and ability to write reports are essential.
• Ability to read blueprints, wiring schematics, work instructions, and safety guidelines.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to perform quality inspections.
• Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and working in various positions for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Conduct functional tests on finished products based on established procedures.
• Interpret test results and diagnose product failures or non-conformance.
• Document and report testing results, including anomalies and recommended actions.
• Maintain and calibrate testing equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.
• Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to resolve product issues.
• Support continuous improvement by identifying recurring test failures or process inefficiencies.
• Engage other departments in problem-solving investigations related to external customer complaints and internal concerns.
• Undertake all testing requirements, including pressure testing, evacuation and charging, refrigeration performance testing, electrical testing, and mechanical/electrical installations.
