Job summary

Battelle Energy Alliance offers an undergraduate internship to support an in-core irradiation experiment at ATR. The role involves instrument design and testing in a lab environment, including autoclave use.

You will report to the Fuel Development, Performance and Qualification team on a 9x80 onsite schedule at the Idaho Falls Campus. Start date and duration vary by project; course credit may be earned with approval.

Qualifications

• Enrolled full time in a vocational/Technical College degree program or an Undergraduate degree program in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA required.
• Authorization to work in the U.S. (including CPT/OPT).
• Current resume or CV required.
• Unofficial transcripts and current class schedule/credits required.

Responsibilities

• Assist instrument design and testing in a laboratory environment, including use of an autoclave.
• Support in-core irradiation experiment work at ATR under the Fuel Development, Performance and Qualification team.
• Communicate results and support data acquisition activities.
